Its Time to Do Some Stretching.

In the computer workplace, RSI (repetitive strain injuries) are becoming quite common. These injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, low back pain usually strikes the average worker on his work desk. The reason why these injuries prevail is that a lot of people, when they start working, do not incorporate rests on their work schedule. It does not have to take long to stretch those tired and aching hands or back. Just a couple of minutes of stretching and applying massage on the joints would prove very helpful on those affected areas.

For the hands, we can start by massaging the fleshy part of the palm. A couple of circular motions on this area will relieve the pressure building on the nerves, muscles and tendons of the hand. Another way to alleviate stress on the hands is by massaging the joints and tendons of the fingers.

For the back, while on your chair, you can do some front-back and sidebending. Also try twisting by doing an axial turn (like your shoulder doing a turn while the hips and the lower body remains on the same position. Do those simple exercises gently and your on to way of stress-free living.

Mutsu Enmei Ryu

First, I was able to watch the anime and enjoyed it truly. Now I'm starting on reading the manga (Japanese Comic) series and its also intriguing. I'm on Chapter 2 now and the story revolves on the most recent successor of the Mutsu clan.

Mutsu Enmei Ryu is about unarmed martial arts with having a history of no defeats. Talk about a fighter who cannot lose. An invincible warrior whose kicks can break bones, whose grappling techniques can break joints and skilled dodging and parrying.

The anime version of it revolves on the 3 generations of Mutsu. Some of them fighting one of Japan's best known fighters. Fighters like Mushashi, Jubei and Hijikata.

Well, I'm back to reading on this manga. I'll tell you more about this series once I've read through all of it.

mmmmm... kinda bored Really

Hey, its the start of the New Year. I'm thinking of reading again P.T. journals and updates to the profession. Its been a while since I've practiced P.T.. I've been missing Mich, Belle, Faw, Jing, Bing, Victor all my collegues from KAAKBAY. All of them are out there working and getting that American Dream.

I'm really rusty on the updates and continuing education. I'll open some books probably. Maybe I'll start with neuro. I like challenging Dr. Layague again. LOL. It reminds me of the college days with Carlo and Shahid. Now those 2 are the best minds of PT Batch 2001.

The question is where the hell is Shahid? I know Carlo's in Cebu. But Shahid's probably in DMC working as physician. I'm gonna look for him on of these days.

PS: I remember Shahid's the only genius who can read tons of medical books with a bottle of Red Horse on his hand. and oh also Mokiepower where the hell are you Du???

Marvel Vs Capcom 2

I definitely suck at Marvel vs Capcom 2. Either I have not been training or I really suck in fighting strategically. My brother (the youngest one) can figure out one's playing style and can come up with a fighting strat to counter that. On the other hand, I myself is just content on coming up with the combos and cool moves on the spur of the moment. In short, no strategies. I think thats the reason I suck in this game. Although, I like this game very much. I'm very good with techniques but not the basics my brother said. Duh!

Gadgets...

Wow! A lot of people now in my office are gadget freaks now. Hahahahaha. They are now quite unreachable. Some have laptops. Some have PSPs. Some have new cellphones. Some have mp3 players and usb devices and the like.

These days, you don't go through the day without using these cool little trinkets. They're usually the IN - fashion statement nowadays. Take a ride on a bus or a jeepney, usually you'll see people listening to their favorite music on their ipods and zens. You can also see people sending sms messages or playing games on their cellphones. Here's one. Go to a coffee shop, you're bound to see lots of people ranging from students to young professionals working and surfing away on their laptops, taking advantage of the wifi access in the area. Wow. The technology these days. Its utterly amazing.

Well, its really hard to catch up. It quite expensive to buy even one of these gadgets. But in order to be in the IN - crowd you gotta have at least some of them. Hehehehehe. Well, just do not overspend. One or two gadgets wouldn't hurt. It also makes you look cool.

Tweak the Planet! My Phone I mean T_T

I just updated my phone's firmware. Whew! good thing it didn't conk out! or I would have lost a phone to my curiosity. Well, the phone ran well and it didn't have a lot of bugs. It did ran faster now and the apps didn't crash too much. I've also updated the Nokia PC suite to the latest version. Now, I can do sms on the pc. I've also got a bluetooth dongle so that I don't have to connect the phone to the usb cable everytime I want to connect it to the pc.

I kinda liked my phone right now. With lots of things, that I can to with this 6680, I've really have the world to explore on this little gadget.

A little bit of tweaking and I managed to watch streaming video on one of the local channels here in the Philippines. Talk about free tv. That was nice. Another this is using the phone to surf the internet. Yup. Facebook, Friendster, Yahoo Messenger, mail and everything. Well, not everything I suppose. Not a lot of java apps seem to work on the phone. Why? I dunno. Maybe it has limited support on java apps. I use Opera mini in order to surf the net on my mobile.

I don't know what will I do if I don't have this wonderful mobile gadget. Now, where's that blasted charger...

Blogging on the cellphone, now that's a good way to blog wherever you want.

I just had my phone configured to connect to the Internet. I can now go to yahoo messenger and mail anywhere I want. All it needs is a network signal and off to blogging you go.

Right now, I am at a car wash having the minivan cleaned. It takes so much time waiting for the job to finish that I thought. "Mmmm..., since I have internet on my cellphone, why not try blogging about something?" That's when I had an idea on blogging on the move. That's the ultimate expession of freedom. No wires, no bulky desktops and laptops just a small 6680 cellphone. Well, my fingers are getting tired already. Why? My initial post got deleted, by me, of course! Maybe cause by too much fiddling with the options. Anyway, I'm done.

Starting out on Making Money Online

Well, I just started on this money making blog work and its quite confusing on my part. I have no experience on how to start on making these things work, Blog-wise. I've been researching on the subject now for a couple of hours and I started by getting on to Google and began putting related keywords for me to search.

Well , what dya know. I started with the keyword making money online and when the search results came out, there's a ton of results to look in to. I never thought that working on making money online could be as daunting as this. This type of money making activity may seem daunting to an average blogger whose been so used on just posting personal articles and messages online.

Maybe next week, I can come up with a way to learn it slowly and surely. Sure fire money making schemes are best learned in the slow and steady way. It may take some time but I positive that the results will show me in the future that what I have done is the right one.

New YUI Single "Summer Song"

(Limited Edition)

(Regular Edition)

It's not released yet. I'll have to wait till July 2, 2008 and maybe snoop around Music Station for their live release there. MS RULES!!!

Hearing this on Japan Radio, I really got excited about this song. It made think it was summer again. Like going to the beach and taking a swim. The characters in the song are the same as in the song "Laugh Away".

The feeling was fresh and giddy. Its like being reborn and you feel like you can take on almost anything.

Sean's Got My Controller

There's a saying "The one's who has the tools rules" Mmmm. I made that up. I really think that saying is pretty accurate and to the point too. If you have the tools at home in my case if you have the arcade stick at home you'll definitely fare better during matches. You have the sweet time of practicing till your heart drops or maybe until your fingers fall off out of your knuckles from practicing combos of Magneto, Storm, Psylocke. I even saw him put up his YM msger status as a series of combo moves. Talk about a loyal guy strained to the point of addiction. I still can beat him using Scrub[Cable, Sent, Capcom] though.

BTW, My left arm's a little sore from playing tennis for the past few days. Yup, I'm a southpaw. Hitting balls for a couple of minutes and then doing walling really did something good to me. That was a nice exercise. One things for sure, the sun is really unforgiving. By ten am the sun's too hot for me to consistenly run around and chase balls so I had to cut it short. I looked at the time. Mmmm. I did walling for about 30 mins. Whew, that was great.

My saving sabbaticals has still not stopped. I really need to come up with ways not to spend too much. Hey for the record, I even didn't buy anything from the canteen from Feb 16 to March 5. I loved to buy some but I didn't. I told myselft well, save save save.... I got 1 more month to go. Well, its actually only about 25 days more. Teehee...

New BasketBall Venue

Du, Dili man ni tung basketball court ingon nila, naa man ni bayad...

Asa Man ang Treasure Map?!?!?!?

Du, Quest!

Du, Pirting Inita ah!!!

Dong, Tag-Singko Bya ang Pliti!!!

Hahay, Niabot gyud...

Here's the Story, Morning Glory....

We didn't play at our usual basketball game venue which is at an elementary school in Bangkal, Davao City. We were looking for a new venue to play. We didn't like the fact that there were getting too many players getting in on our playing time. Having too many players outside of our group means that all of us can't play at our hearts content. So, we are scouting for another place to play ball. Well, actually the place hasn't been scouted yet.

The basketball court is said to be found in Central Park in Phase III, Apo street but the jeepney driver dropped us in a very far section in the subdivision. We found a basketball court there but it was the wrong one. So we had to walk for about 20 mins before we found one of our friends [Ale] and guided us to the right place. Yeah, we were walking around the subdivision for 20 mins under the heat of the sun.

At last we were able to begin playing. We were able to play 5 on 5 and just as we were on our second game an old woman approached us and told us to stop playing for a while. Whaatttt!!!. LOL, she said they're going to have a mass. The court was beside a chapel and its Saturday. They did really have a mass. Oh well, so we decided to wait for about 30-45 mins for the mass to finish.

When the mass ended, we again started playing. Well, after a while there were some homeowners who came and played a casual game with us. Mmmm, its better than playing with those outsiders in Mabini who reek of beer and alcohol.

I made a video of the whole experience but I think I set the quality of the video to a low setting. I was thinking I might not have enough space to document everything. I was wrong. I still have about 650 mb about of space left in the memory card. I still should be able to tape it at high quality. Oh well, too bad. I think I'll do better the second time around. I'll be attaching the video once I've uploaded it.

KAAKBAY is one of the winners again in the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations [TAYO]

I'll be taping this memorable coverage for the whole KAAKBAY Staff to enjoy next week.

The Kapansanan Ay Akibat sa Kaunlaran ng Bayan (KAAKBAY) was again awarded as one of the winners of the 5th Search for the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO). Its project entry entitled "Making Rehabilitation Services Accessible for Children with Special Needs" bested 130 youth organizations in the country that joined this year's search. In addition to that, KAAKBAY was also chosen to represent the Philippines in the Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) TAYO to be held sometime in November at Cebu City, Philippines. Visited the Bridge Construction Site

After going to Limso to get some prescription meds for Gramps, I passed by the bridge construction side on the south area of the bridge. Jun a friend of mine who works for Tito Randy at the gasoline station just near here told me that the engineers use a new kind of cement that dries quickly even in water. The area where I'm standing is very windy.

This bridge is going to be better than the one beside it. I use to remember the deafening sounds of the piledriver trying to force in the main pylons of the bridge. That is not happening here, the job's going to be totally state of the art. This will be like the large bridges found in Metro Manila. See those brown posts there? Actually, those aren't posts. they're tubes that would be filled with cement later. And on using the new type of cement, the work on the bridge would be faster and better. I didn't know that just yesterday. The president herself was standing on this very place where I am standing.

After this I went straight home, I got too tired of walking around.

Yup, we did eat out LOL.

Gramp's a sucker for Chinese food. He likes the "asado" chicken toppings with fried rice. I stayed with my usual "asado", chicken, "wanton" noodle soup. Somehow the noodles seem too soggy for my taste. I'm much of a food critic. If it doesn't taste good then it doesn't taste good. Now matter how much you mask it with seasonings or other flavorings.

Btw, the place we went was Mandarin Tea Garden. Another trivial, about me and Gramps. We've visited all the branches of Mandarin here in Davao City, Philippines.

Poor Grandpa!

Gramps having a little fever. He told me that he got wet in the rain a few days ago. My grandfather lives in the province. He has his old house there. He goes there with my aunt and one cousin. The thing with my grandfather is that when he sets his mind on somewhere he wants to go. He'll definitely go there.

Tell you what. He's even telling me to accompany him on Friday and go out of town just north of our city. It will take an hour to reach there by bus. And to think I might still be sleepy from having the night shift duty the early morning before.

Well he loves to eat afterward. And usually rewards me with a bite at a restaurant or a Big Mac. Mmmm. Big Mac, I wouldn't settle for anything less. I wanna get another bite. But then again, I don't want to get too fat. Or I might settle for something like noodles. That will be nice. Yummy.

Then again I want to sleep. I haven't gotten any sleep yet. I might be talking to you and suddenly ZZzzzzz....
